The Desk · By introduction

Finding it is the easy part. Knowing who is selling it is not.

Tell the Desk what you are looking for. We source it, including things that are not publicly listed, we check who is on the other side, and we introduce you. Where a booking is what you need instead, we arrange that.

The friction

Anyone can find the asset. What you cannot easily find out is whether the party selling it is who they say they are, and by the time the wire has left, it is too late to ask.

The Desk

We source it, we check who is on the other side, and we introduce you. You deal with them directly and you pay them directly. What can be evidenced, we evidence before you commit.

  1. 01 You brief us. One message. What you are after, and roughly when.
  2. 02 We source it, and we find out who is on the other side. Who they are, whether the entity is real, and what can be evidenced before you commit.
  3. 03 We introduce you. From there it is your transaction. We stay available, and stay out of the payment.
Who is behind the Desk

The Desk is run by the founder of Pocketlife, the members' concierge club he built over seven years in Switzerland, serving principals from Zurich, Geneva and Dubai.

The relationships are the inventory. They are why an owner who is not selling will take the call, and why we can tell you who is behind an asset before you meet them.

Some things we simply arrange.

A charter, a suite, a villa, a car. A table that is not taking bookings, a room that is not open tonight, a door without a public number. The asset exists. The work is access, and knowing who to call.

Where the provider pays us Yacht and jet charter, hotels, villas, vehicle hire. We are paid by the provider, at rates standard in the trade. You pay us nothing.

Where you pay us Restaurants, clubs, private access, meet and greet, events, short-notice logistics. Where no provider commission applies, we charge for the work.

$1,000 per arrangement. $500 for members.

One agreed request, scoped in writing before we begin. Third-party costs, deposits and provider charges are yours and are not included.

We take each request on its merits, and we will tell you if it is not something we can do well.

Where access cannot be secured, the fee credits against your next arrangement. Where we have not carried out the work, there is no fee.

On an arrangement we are paid by you or by the provider. Never both.

And some things have to be found.

What you want is not for sale, or not yet, or not publicly. That is not an arrangement. It is a search, and a search can fail. We take that work on mandate.

Sourcing · $5,000 · 30 days A defined item in a known market. A reference, a car, a berth, a slot. It exists somewhere. We find who has it, and whether they will part with it.

Search · $15,000 · 90 days Off-market. The owner is not selling. Vessels, aircraft, property, collections. We find them, we approach them, and we find out who they are before you meet.

Where a buyer-side introduction fee arises, the mandate fee is credited against that fee, up to the amount payable, for a transaction completed within twelve months of the introduction and with a counterparty introduced under the mandate. Unused credit has no cash value.

If nothing completes, you receive the written record of the search: who was approached, what was found, what could not be evidenced, and why we stopped.

Sourcing off-market takes calls that cannot be made twice. The mandate is what lets us make them on your behalf rather than on speculation, and it is why we can decline work that is not serious.

How we are paid: an introduction commission, normally from the seller's or the provider's side. You are told before an introduction is made, never after. Alpine Gate does not give investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing here is an offer.

What we check is who we introduce, and what can be evidenced on the asset. It is not a survey, a title opinion, or a substitute for your own advisers and your own checks. Those remain yours.

The Desk sources luxury goods, property, vessels, aircraft and services. It does not source investments, securities or fund access.

Our commitment to privacy

We do not publish client names. We do not disclose who we work with. Nothing you send the Desk is shared outside it without your agreement, and no request becomes a case study.

The fact that you cannot find our client list is the point.

How you reach us

An introduction is the usual route, and the fastest one. If you have not been introduced, tell us who you are and we will take it from there.

We check who we are introducing, in both directions. It is the reason a merchant takes our call, and the reason you can rely on the one we make for you.

Write to the Desk.

Kept in confidence. Read by one person. Answered within one business day.

Add anything that speeds this up · optional

We check who we are introducing, in both directions. A registered entity, a regulated intermediary or a referral is enough. It is the reason a merchant takes our call, and answering it now saves a round trip. We will ask if you leave it.
